Welcome to Big Lake, MN

Nestled along the Mississippi river in southern Sherburne County, Big Lake comprises a rapidly growing city surrounded by a township of the same name. Ideally located on U.S. Highway 10, and close to I-94, our community enjoys easy access to both the Twin Cities and Saint Cloud. Improving access further, Big Lake will be a key stop on the Northstar Commuter Rail project.

Though well positioned, the rapid growth of our community is not merely an accident of geography. Our burgeoning population enjoys the benefits of a local clinic and joint community hospital, a progressive telecommunications infrastructure, and a dynamic business community.

Whether living in the city or the township, Big Lake residents enjoy a unique blend of peaceful living and the amenities of a well-established community. We invite you to learn more about what Big Lake has to offer.
